Distracted Driving

Seems there were a lot of messages in my mail-box about driving safely this week! So far this week, we talked about employer responsibilities for employees driving; then we talked about the emotional impact of accidents while driving. Today we see distracted driving in action.

Distracted Driving

….. and it is not good! In fact this distracted driving video released by Abbotsford police is graphic enough to carry a warning. The good news is that she only hits one person and he survived. The thing is, distracted driving can affect anyone – while the man in this video seems obvious to us, all she did was look down at the wrong moment – no speeding, no dangerous maneuvers, just distracted driving for a moment.

Tony is a First Aid & CPR Instructor Trainer with Sea 2 Sky Safety Training Services and the company founder. Tony started with the British Red Cross in 1994. Has acted as first aid attendant for hundreds of events & treated many hundreds of people as a result. He is experienced in training a wide range of courses. He previously worked as an ambulance attendant with the British Red Cross. He is now in BC as a first aid instructor, and an instructor trainer (one who trains others to become instructors) Finally, Tony works at UBC Hospital as a pharmacist when not busy training safety
